Most people visit Delaware's coast and leave wishing they could stay longer. Mike visited, stayed for a PhD, and never left. The decision to stay was surprisingly easy. He and his family had fallen hard in love with the area and simply couldn't picture themselves anywhere else.
Before real estate, Mike spent years as a marine scientist and educator. That background gave him something most agents don't have: a deep, research-driven approach to everything he does. He digs into the data, knows the market inside and out, and won't point you toward a property unless he truly believes it's the right fit. He holds a B.S. from Penn State and a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware, and was recently named a Coastal Real Producers Top Agent in 2025, an honor that reflects the kind of individualized approach he brings to every transaction.
Working with Mike feels less like working with an agent and more like getting advice from someone who genuinely has your best interests at heart. He'll be upfront with you, put in the hours, and treat your purchase or sale with the same care he'd give his own family. His wife, Janeen, teaches in the Cape Henlopen School District and their two kids, Jackson and Dylan, attend school in the district as well.
When he's not working with clients, you'll likely find him on the water. Surfing, fishing, boating, building something in the garage or tackling a home renovation project.
